With hundreds of websites dedicated to covering OU football, what makes ours any different? Probably nothing. But, we all have a great love for it. It gets us through the fall, it makes the weekdays go by faster knowing what lies ahead that Saturday.
We bring passion. Hitting the couch, yelling at the TV, cursing under our breaths (and out loud). The “we” I keep referring to have been going to OU home games together since the early 2000s (2001-2002). We’ve had our share of ups (the 2003 regular season, Adrian Peterson, Sam Bradford… Brent Rawls) and downs (Oregon, Texas Tech, Boise State, the BCS losses). But every offseason, despite whatever happened the year before, cannot stop us from an ever-increasing excitement for the season that lies ahead.
In hopes of communicating that passion and the knowledge that we like to think is at least slightly above average, we created this blog. We’ll do our best to link to all of the stories that break regarding OU, as well as write as many entries as we can, if for no other reason than to make the days that don’t feature football go a little bit faster.
Hopefully we are able to bring something somewhat unique, and at the very least entertaining, to the blogging world. Focusing on OU football may provide a limited audience, but why cover something if you aren’t truly passionate about it?
Hopefully both the blog and OU football team can live up to this website’s name.
