In a release today, it was announced that FX would televise three OU home games.
They will host the September 3rd season opener against Tulsa at 7 PM. They will also show the September 24th game against Missouri and the November 26th game against Iowa State, both of which begin at 7 PM.
FX, the home of shows such as Justified, Rescue Me and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, feels like an odd channel to air college football. But as a part of the Fox Network, it does make sense on some level. Personally I've always been a fan when new channels, such as TBS in the early 2000's and VS in the past couple of years, decide to air football games. It's interesting to see what, if any, unique take they will bring.
We'll find out what FX's coverage will be like in only three months.
