Jonathan Miller Arrested for Missed Court Date

Sooner running back Jonathan Miller “was arrested by Norman police Thursday night because he missed a spring court date for a traffic ticket issued last year,” the Oklahoman reports.

“The redshirt sophomore was initially ticketed in September 2010 for driving without a license, according to Cleveland County's courts database. He missed the April 29 court date to fight the charge and a warrant was issued May 13 for his failure to appear or pay the fines owed.

“The 6-foot, 200-pound Miller was arrested at 9:58 p.m. Thursday at 750 Lindsey St., near the western fringe of OU's campus. He posted bond and was released from jail at 9:27 a.m. Friday.

“Per its policy, OU declined Tuesday to confirm the incident and coach Bob Stoops is not expected to address it. Any punishment would be handled internally.”
