Harris Wins Weekly Jim Thorpe Award

OU junior safety Javon Harris has been named the Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week, according to an official release.

“In the game Harris had three solo tackles, one pass break up and two key interceptions. The first interception came with the Seminoles driving late in the second quarter, when he picked off a pass at the OU 28-yard line and returned it 69 yards to set up a Sooner field goal which gave them a 10-point lead at the break. His second interception came with 5:34 remaining in the game, which allowed the Sooners to add another field goal to build the final 10-point advantage.”
