Missouri Getting Players Back This Week, Receiver Unimpressed with Sooners

Missouri “won't be at full strength to face Oklahoma on Saturday, but the Tigers will regain the services of several players in time to face the country's No. 1 team,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

“Center Travis Ruth, defensive end Jacquies Smith and cornerback Kip Edwards are expected to start, according to coach Gary Pinkel.”

“With Jayson Palmgren moving back to guard, Mizzou will start the offensive line that was envisioned during camp with the exception of left tackle.

“Reserve receiver Gahn McGaffie also will be available.

“His return is timely because he opened last year's game against Oklahoma with an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to spark the win.”

Meanwhile, some bulletin board material for the Sooners. Missouri wide receiver Jerrell Jackson was asked what makes OU so tough at home and he was not shy about answering the question.

"I don't know what makes them so tough," he said. "Ain't nothing tough about them to me."
