Freshman running back Danzel Williams had shoulder surgery recently and is out indefinitely, SoonerScoop.com reports. This leaves OU a bit thin at the position after Jermie Calhoun and Jonathan Miller decided to transfer earlier this year.
Sophomore Brennan Clay is still dealing with neck/shoulder injuries and is questionable to play this week against Kansas. So OU would be down to just three running backs: Dominique Whaley (junior), Roy Finch (sophomore) and Brandon Williams (freshman).
Sophomore fullback Trey Millard would also be available to take some carries if needed as well.
