Wort Still Being Evaluated, Decision on Center Coming

Sophomore linebacker Tom Wort “hasn’t practiced since suffering an ankle injury Nov. 5 against Texas A&M,” according to the Norman Transcript.

Head Coach Bob Stoops said at his press conference yesterday that Wort “was expected to practice Tuesday and he’ll continue to be evaluated throughout the week.”

Meanwhile, coaches are still trying to decide who will start at center between junior Ben Habern and sophomore Gabe Ikard. Habern “returned to the field against Texas A&M after missing six games with a broken bone in his right arm.”

“I’ll announce that probably [Wednesday] or Thursday. I’m sure coaches are probably still looking at that. And we just have to actually confer whether we’re (going to make a change) or just continue like we did a week ago. The chemistry’s been good in there. So let me just wait on that.”
