Sooners Receive Commitment from Derrick Woods

Wide receiver Derrick Woods (Inglewood High School – California) has committed to play at OU next season, according to ESPN's SoonerNation ($) and SoonerScoop.com ($).

Woods also plays safety on defense. He’ll likely get a look at both positions as coaches evaluate where he fits best.

Woods is rated by Rivals as a four-star prospect. He’s No. 16 nationally at the wide receiver position and the No. 98 overall recruit.

ESPN rates him as a four-star prospect as well. They rank him No. 17 at his position nationally and No. 140 overall.
