After saying last week it was his “gut feeling” that junior quarterback Landry Jones would return to OU for his senior season, Head Coach Bob Stoops now appears to be walking back those comments.
According to The Oklahoman, Stoops said Monday that he “isn't sure – because he doesn't think Jones is sure.”
“What I feel doesn't matter,” Stoops said after OU's Insight Bowl practice at Corona del Sol High School. “It's what the young guy thinks about it, and right now he is far from making that decision.”
“So, right now he's absolutely uncertain what he's going to do. He has plenty of time after the game to analyze it more.”
