Jones Much Sharper in First Game

OU quarterback Landry Jones and the offensive line (see: quarterback sacks) looked much better in this year’s season-opener against Tulsa when compared with the Utah State game a year ago.

• vs. Utah State (Sept. 4, 2010): 17-36-2 (CMP/ATT/INT); 47.2% completion percentage; 2 touchdowns; 3 sacks
• vs. Tulsa (Sept. 3, 2011): 35-47-0 (CMP/ATT/INT); 74.5% completion percentage; 1 touchdown; 0 sacks
