The University of Texas Board of Regents “have scheduled a special meeting for Monday at 4 p.m. ET that will focus mainly on UT’s conference affiliation,” NBC Sports reports.
“The first item on the agenda, which will be held in executive session if necessary, will involve the ‘[d]iscussion and appropriate action regarding potential legal issues related to athletic conference membership and contracting.’
“Following the executive session — again, if such a session is needed — the regents will reconvene for an open session to initiate a ‘[d]iscussion and appropriate action regarding delegation to act on matters related to athletic conference membership and contracting.’”
As reported yesterday, OU’s Board of Regents will also meet on Monday to discuss conference affiliation.
