Sooners Get Juco Tight End Commitment

Junior college tight end Brannon Green (Fort Scott Community College – Kansas) has committed to play at OU next season, ESPN’s SoonerNation reports.

“Green was offered by tight ends coach Bruce Kittle on Wednesday and Green gave his verbal commitment to Kittle before the coach even left the school.

“Green had committed to Connecticut in November and also had Michigan State and Louisville as his other favorites.

“’Coach Kittle was so great,’ Green said. ‘I can tell he's a hard-nosed guy, somebody who I would love to play for.’”

Fort Scott assistant coach Rico Cherico “said Green was 6-foot-3 and 232 pounds when Green started at Fort Scott. Eighteen months later, Green is 6-foot-4 and 268 pounds.”

Green “is expected to take an official visit to OU next weekend and will be ready to step on campus in January.” He has a “redshirt year to go with two years of eligibility remaining.”
