Injured Sooners Expected to Play, Hunnicutt Keeps Spot

Head Coach Bob Stoops said Monday that senior cornerback Jamell Fleming, sophomore safety Aaron Colvin and sophomore running back Brennan Clay “are all expected to play Saturday,” according to The Oklahoman.

Fleming suffered a concussion during the Ball State game last week. Colvin suffered a concussion toward the end of the Missouri game and did not play against Ball State. Clay suffered a shoulder injury against Ball State.

Meanwhile, Stoops said that redshirt freshman kicker Michael Hunnicutt “remains the starting kicker even though Jimmy Stevens (strained quadriceps) returned to practice.”

“I would still play Michael the way he's hit the ball,” Stoops said. “I believe he has earned that spot ... In practice, he's really hit it well for three weeks now. We'll see if anything changes, how they work through the week or how the game goes.”
